St. Bonaventure University has taken all reasonable precautions to secure the personal information available through its online community. POLICY AND GUIDELINES FOR PROPER USE

Information available through the online community may be used for specific personal and university-related purposes only. Use of the online community for any commercial, public, political, unlawful mailing or unlawful use is strictly prohibited. Prohibited uses of the information in the online community include but are not limited to

Advertising and soliciting for commercial services
Cold-calling of any kind or mass-mailings
Activities that are illegal or fraudulent
Uses that inaccurately imply endorsement, approval or sponsorship by St. Bonaventure University or the National Alumni Association Board (NAAB)
Uses that can be confused with official communications of St. Bonaventure University or the NAAB
Mailings of any kind using a false identification
Activities that violate another user’s privacy such as granting access to the system or distributing information obtained from the services to non-alumni
Posting of obscene materials or use of obscene or vulgar language, hate speech or harassment, or use of abusive or threatening language of any kind
Creation of profane, fraudulent, or obscene aliases

LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

The reliability of the information available through the online community is largely dependent upon the actions of visitors. St. Bonaventure University can make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness or timeliness of this information. St. Bonaventure University does not warrant that the online community Web site will operate error-free or that the site and its server are free of computer viruses or other harmful material. To the fullest extent permitted by law, St. Bonaventure University disclaims all warranties, including the warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, and fitness for particular purpose. In no event shall St. Bonaventure University be liable for any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, incidental, consequential or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use information or materials available on the online community Web site. By using the online community Web site, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless St. Bonaventure University and its respective agents from and against any and all losses, claims, damages, costs, and expenses that may arise from your participation in and use of the online community Web site or your breach of these policies. St. Bonaventure University will provide notice to you of any such action or claim, and reserves the right to participate, at your expense, in the investigation, settlement and defense of any such action or claim.
