Journalism/Mass Communication Degree Program Study Details

Students who take the Journalism/Mass Communication degree will gain the understanding and the application of the principles of journalism and mass communication. Emphasis is placed on developing competence in writing, editing and reporting applicable to the print and broadcast media. The school’s skills courses are taught in computer labs and a broadcast journalism studio. Students can receive a JMC degree with a concentration in three areas: print journalism, broadcasting, or strategic communications (PR/advertising).
