Biology Degree Program Details

Attracting top students from across the country, the Biology program prepares students for a variety of careers, and graduates have a highly successful record of admission to some of the nation’s best medical schools. Students work collaboratively – not competitively – alongside faculty mentors who also invite students to engage in research activities.

With a Biology degree from SBU, students get the opportunity to obtain a broad foundation of biological knowledge and to pursue study of a specific area of biology through coursework and mentored research. All the applications learned in this program carry over to medical, dental, veterinary and other health related fields.
