School Counselor Certificate Program Details

There are numerous Master’s specializations available through SBU’s School of Education. Specializations include:

MSED - Counselor Education (School)

When you select SBU for your program of study, you are selecting a nationally-accredited and New York State registered program. Students who have successfully completed the School Counseling Track may apply for provisional certification in School Counseling.

The School Counselor certificate was created for school counselors to have an easily accessed guide to special education issues across the age levels of preschool through college.
